Nicola is a classical and reformer pilates instructor with more than 700 hours of observational training in London training schools.
Nicola began her career as a fashion buyer before becoming a children’s yoga instructor after having four children of her own. She discovered classical pilates following an injury when her recoveryrequired her to find a controlled method of fitness to strengthen around her joints.
Nicola started her classical Pilates training with Power Pilates UK, concentrating on mat based practice. She then went on to complete a fully comprehensive training course that covered all available pilates apparatus.
Nicola brings a unique pilates offering and knowledge to Suffolk, allowing patients of all abilities to learn to recover from injury or enhance body performance. Her understanding and teaching of a wide range of Pilates apparatus is not often seen outside of London. From our studio at Hyntle Barn Clinic, Nicola teaches one-to-one and small groups the art and love of pilates and works collaboratively with other practitioners to deliver highly regarded mobility and fitness results.
“I have a hypermobile body and I loved yoga, but I had to teach myself not to be quite so stretchy, just because I could, didn´t mean I should! I wasn’t very thrilled at the prospect of doing pilates, the classes I had tried at the gym up until then had been too slow for me personally to enjoy. But the physio told me about a studio nearby and said it was an investment in my body I should make. They were right, after one class I was addicted.”
