Pilates for Autumn/Winter

Keeping our body mobile over the coming autumn and winter months is essential for effective immune function.


Movement really is medicine and a supple body will help reduce inflammation and fatigue, which in turn support your body’s immune response.

Pilates is a great way to stay mobile. You can join the Livelong Pilates team on a Wednesday each week to get your mobility fix. Currently, we will be offering classes on Wednesday morning followed by 1:1 and 2:1 availability from mid-morning and throughout the afternoon.

This timetable adjustment is to support Hollie and Sophie who have been nurturing their second pregnancies. We are delighted to report that Sophie has recently given birth to a healthy and beautiful baby boy called Milo and Hollie is due at the end of September. On Wednesdays you will be in the capable hands of their carefully chosen maternity cover, Sophie Martin, a fellow trained Body Control Pilates instructor (and talented Suffolk artist )


Join our Wednesday classes for £12.50pp per class (or block book 6 sessions for £66pp)
7.30am Mens Pilates
9am Core Pilates


1:1 and 2:1's are a great way to reconnect with movement and check in with the body. If you suffer from regular headaches, have a desk-bound job or continuously find your lifestyle results in returning body pain, a session like this can interchange with and compliment the clinical treatments from our wider practitioner team. You will be carefully guided through your Pilates with movements that will mobilise and work to alleviate pain in the body and help you to rehabilitate. One patient recently delighted in telling us:

"I thought I was starting Pilates to get safely back into exercise, but each session feels more like a treatment. I don't even feel like it's a form of exercise and it is total bliss to leave with a pain free and awakened body after every session. I don't know why I haven't been doing this for years."
